Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

synopsis: Circumstances cause the Klingon Empire to seek peace, but someone wants to sabotage the process - and frames Kirk for murder.

impressions: This one had a little bit of everything: politics, a murder mystery, a Klingon jail (and jailbreak), and some space battle. It was the final film in the "original series cast" bunch (six movies in twelve years is pretty good) and moved along fairly well.

acting: Aside from the regulars, this one had Kim Cattrall as a Vulcan helmswoman, Christopher Plummer as a scheming Klingon, David Warner as the peace-seeking Klingon official, Iman as an alien in the Klingon prison, and Kurtwood Smith (with a lot of white hair and beard) as the Federation President.

final word: One of the more action-packed in this film series.
