The A-Team: Steel
episode number: season 2, episode 10 (1983)
viewing setting: home DVD, 6/25/05
episode synopsis: The team comes to the aid of a construction-company owner who's being bullied by another company.
impressions: I am sorry to say that this will probably be the last season of this show that I buy and watch on DVD. I understand that the creators were trying to make an upbeat series in which veteran soldiers resort to non-lethal means to stop bad guys - and succeed - but it's getting ridiculous. When the bad guys are willing and able to murder you, it's time to actually aim the gun and end some bad-guy lives just like Charles Bronson would. This episode was a prime example: not only was the other construction company ready to kill anyone who got in their way, but they were being backed by a ruthless mob figure. There comes a time when the kid gloves have to come off and those with lethal skills have to employ them. This show, done nowadays, could have been a lot more serious, and a lot better. Anyway...highlights of this episode included B.A.'s gold hardhat and the use of heavy construction equipment in the big fight at the end.
notable guest star: Camilla More, who played the mob guy's date, was one of a pair of frolicking twin sisters who joined the victim pool in Friday the 13th part 4.
what the team builds in this episode: Armor plating for a construction crane.
Hannibal wisecrack highlight: When he warns the bad guys right before the big final fight.
B.A. toughness highlight: none
Murdock insanity highlight: thinks he's a dog, and eats dog biscuits
Face scam highlight: while being menaced by the mob boss, he hits on the guy's date
Amy usefulness highlight: none - Amy wasn't in this episide (this was about the time they got rid of her)
