The A-Team: Say It With Bullets

episode number: season 2, episode 15 (1984)
viewing setting: home DVD, 7/11/05

episode synopsis: The team helps an Army officer put away another officer who killed her brother (and is selling military weapons on the side.)

impressions: Not a bad one - it had some all-time highs as far as Hannibal's showmanship and quick thinking in a crisis.

notable guest star: Monte Markham, who plays the corrupt weapons officer here, was Steve Austin's bionic nemesis in the episode The Seven Million Dollar Man.

what the team builds in this episode: They don't build anything, but in a brilliant bit of one-upmanship, they rig a general's guest house to make it appear to be occupied and defended, which tricks Colonel Decker into blasting it to smithereens (while the A-Team is already long gone.)

Hannibal wisecrack highlight: After the trick mentioned above, he steals a tank and drives right off the Army base. Essentially, this was a vintage Hannibal episode in which he said and did all kinds of cool things.

B.A. toughness highlight: While holding a gun on some bad guys, he whips one forearm back to punch out a bad guy trying to sneak up.

Murdock insanity highlight: Thinks he's a TV that he controls with a remote, bringing multiple personalities into play.

Face scam highlight: Talks his way into a storage unit, then later talks himself, Hannibal, and B.A. into the bad lieutenant's office so they can look at his records.

Tawnia usefulness highlight: Shows off some driving skills in Face's Corvette, then does some intro-level seduction of the evil lieutenant in order to plant a bug on him.
