synopsis: A girl with strange dreams is whisked away to another world to partake in its battles and destiny.

impressions: This shorter movie version of the television series sort of hits the high points but without the deep background. This was often confusing to me, and raised plenty of questions. There were some interesting elements (flying battle armor, a floating fortress, animal-people) but overall I found it too short. Why anyone would try to adapt a long series into a 98-minute film is beyond me.

acting: n/a but all of the (many) different character voices were well-done; many of the voice actors were the same as in the series

final word: pretty but too short and abbreviated; I liked the series better
